1. Untitled 1 (Du) Painting

This painting is an improvisation of a colors and shapes. It was created without any thinking, constructing, topics or content. The process was following feelings and intuition. The scenario of this artwork is a pure expression of art: it is a matches, contrasts, nuances and interactions between colors and shapes. It was incredibly interesting and and valuable to observe the way my inner state is changing with each brush stroke and other way around. This proves how necessary art and creation are to our souls. This painting is the last unsold piece of the whole series of that kind of abstract paintings of mine. At that period I was charmed by the Lithuanian opart painter Kazys Varnelis, who called his paintings meaningless names. The names were just senseless sound or letter combination meaning only themselves. I took this strategy to name my abstract paintings - I was giving them meaningless names to put more indescribility. I wanted to eliminate the meaning to enhance the feeling.
