This painting is a deep dive into BLUE! This is one of my signature painting styles, creating a "skeleton" across the canvas of various dark blues, and then gradually lightening those same blues to fill the remainder of the canvas. Even though all the colours used are blues, how some of them play off each other brings out other tones such as greys, greens, lilacs, and yellows - little colour tricks the eye plays on you which keeps this style so interesting to me! The final painting result here really brings to mind a swirling ocean current - even though it's pattern is completely random, there is still something so mesmerising and peaceful about watching it.
