About The Artwork

This work is a part of the “Novel Oil Painting Concerto: THE STORY OF AUCTION HOUSE” of A CH Painting Book (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1366208730): 1ST MOVEMENT: ENERGY Since the Postmodern-Narrationism painting “Paris • Woman Holding a Fan in Haze” was published by the highest authoritative national art newspaper in a country with one-fifth of the earth's population, it became the world's new attention of the artwork. On that morning at ten o'clock, the auction house Chrisby's would hold a global live webcast auction of this painting in Paris. Outside the building, fans and slogans were everywhere. Inside, there were many bidders around the world (including many internationally renowned collectors and the world's top art museums, etc). Now the whole hall was in perfect silence. The auction entered the countdown... 2ND MOVEMENT: THEFT Suddenly, the crazy high-decibel emergency alarm assaulted everyone’s eardrums, assaulted the internet, and assaulted the whole world. A five-foot-long hole was found on the wall of the painting storeroom that was under 24-hour surveillance, and three security guards were killed. The oil painting “Paris • Woman Holding a Fan in Haze” was missing. Everyone fell into panic and loss. The entire auction house and the nearby buildings and a few blocks around were completely blocked by the special police force that arrived in time. When the auctioneer, with a gloomy face, tried again to appease the people, the loudspeaker came to a young male voice with a slight accent in French: “La peinture à l'huile … avait été envoyée en toute sécurité … à … un … château...“ (The oil painting had been safely sent to a castle…) And that man asked ransom for 300 million euros. Then the satellite internet phone connected to the loudspeaker was interrupted. ... (The part of the story is purely fictitious) http://narrationism.com
