About The Artwork

A Canopy of Cerulean Skies is a contemporary, abstract, liquid artwork done using fluid techniques. This colourful, dramatic and rich artwork was painted using acrylic paint on canvas, finished with a high gloss coat of archival varnish. The main color is a deep, rich sky-blue colour (cerulean blue) with light blue, white, light grey, black and metallic silver. The painting has been carried over to the sides. All of my paintings are shipped ready-to-hang. This painting looks great displayed vertically or horizontally. In the digital age, it can be difficult to maintain our physical and mental health. Achieve some degree of peace. The quick and hectic pace of a big city teeming with life and energy is inspiring, but I find strength in spending time in nature, in deep reflection and revelry. In fact, I find a tremendous amount of peace in watching white, billowing clouds dance through the sky on a clear, bright, summer day. I spend a lot of time in nature, both to achieve a sense of calmness, but also because of the inspiration found there. I hope that this painting will inspire others to spend time in nature, and to contemplate their relationship with nature.

I’m a Toronto-based artist focusing on abstract, contemporary, nature-focused liquid art done on canvas or wood panels. I typically work with acrylics, resins, metallic pigments and other mixed mediums using a variety of traditional and non-traditional techniques which are themselves closely connected with nature – water, wind, air and gravity – to achieve the unique, colorful and gentle effects that typify my work. I enjoy painting in my studios which are located in Toronto and Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.
