Not all days are roses and sunshine but it is my hope that this painting will inspire the viewer to celebrate the new beginnings at dawn and all the possibilities each new day contains.

24 x 30 x 1-inch oil and acrylic on stretched canvas. Typically my paintings are painted on top of paintings I was not happy with thus giving the new painting an interesting substrate to work on resulting in bumps and ridges that "pick up" new paint in oddly satisfying patterns. I use painting knives primarily scraping and quickly spreading the paint. I tend to work over the entire canvas and not focusing on one area for too long. The sides are painted a beautiful dark bronze. This painting is signed and wired ready for hanging.
