"A Simply House", acrylic on canvas, 60x70cm - started painting from the memory at international art symposium in Stará Střelnice Hranice, Moravskolezský Kraj, CZ, finished in the studio. (...) By the way of composing the picture and relocating the forms taken from reality, and to subordinate the light and shadow of a new situation raised in the frame Vasilendiuc's painting is located in the area defined by the art historians of the twentieth century as metaphysical painting. From the technical point of view we note that the artist avoids using black as a pigment in mixtures which would lead to the extinction of the expressive tonal brightness. Where the composition requires sustaining of areas in tones with closed values, the painter approaches severe vibrations of violet to indigo, ultramarine blue or dark green. To complementary balance out the exit towards light in his paintings, he's using ochre, orange and yellow, sometimes aided by white blends... (Liviu Suhar)
