This artwork was inspired by Ray Bradbury's story "A Sound of Thunder". Time is like water: a tiny object put in it can make big circles. This object could by anything... A butterfly or a mpuse like in Bradbury's story. But I've chosen an apple like an important cultural symbol. It is the apple of discord from ancient mythology, the Newton's apple, the famous brand's logo. And finally the forbidden fruit eaten by Adam and Eve. Without this single apple we wouldn't exist at all, if you believe in the Bible. It's hard to comprehend that every our step could change the course of history! "Destroy this one man, and you destroy a race, a people, an entire history of life. The stomp of your foot, on one mouse, could start an earthquake, the effects of which could shake our earth and destinies down through Time, to their very foundations. Step on a mouse and you leave your print, like a Grand Canyon, across Eternity". Each frame on the picture symbolises a new era. Inscriptions are Bradbury's quotes from "A sound of Thunder". By the way, after creating this work I've learned that this story is a part of Bradbury's anthology "The Golden Apples of the Sun", what a funny coincidence! The artwork is signed on the front and also comes with a certificate of authenticity. It will be shipped by EMS in a cardboard box (highly safe packaging). Unframed. Thanks for looking!
