About The Artwork
This piece is about a Syrian family of 4 who traveled from Damascus in exile. It took them 9 months and they documented everything along their treacherous journey in search for asylum. Taking some of imagery embedded in the 2 children's minds I have juxtaposed these to create a new imaged landscape to capture a settlement that encapsulates the journey these 2 kids aged 4 and 6 went through, whilst seeming to keep a positive and playful attitude throughout the incredible journey.
