About The Artwork

This is the fifth artwork in my series "A Touch of Blue". Just imagine: the evening on the eve of Christmas, the soul is joyful and warm, because all relatives and friends are nearby. You are still quite a child and you do not need to participate in all this pre-holiday fuss. You look out the window: even the dark frosty sky today is somehow mysteriously blue, and the cold wind and drift through the window look very friendly and a little mystical. This is the case when you are looking out the window, but peering somewhere into yourself. And this is not your reflection in the glass. This is a storm of sensitivity, in which the anticipation of happiness and love, colossal energy, and unexpected confidence that everything will be fine. And there is so much of this inner strength and love that she wants to share it with people, I want to do something good just like that for complete strangers. There is in this something naive, childish, and from this pure and sincere, like the very bright holiday of the Nativity of Christ. I'm happy to know that my painting "Touch of the Blue 5. Christmas Eve" has become a part of a unique charity project NFT-Christmas tree: Artists for Artists. The author of the idea is People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikas Safronov @safronov_nikas, who united 250 professional artists from Russia and Europe to create an NFT object. The Christmas tree, created by Nikas Safronov, is decorated with toys. Each toy is a separate art object, which is an integral part of a single global object for sale. All funds received from the sale of this unique art object will be used to support young artists from the Rostov Art School named after M. B. Grekov, who are just beginning their career in creativity.

Every person is unique. Each of us has our path, our own life experience, which shapes us, making us different from others. Therefore, I want to tell you a little about myself so that you can better understand me and my painting. I was born in Ukraine. For me, it is a bright, colorful, sunny, and beautiful place. Greenery, sun, endless blue sky, cornfields, smiles, the anticipation of happiness and love... This is how I remember it. Then we moved to the Far North. To such a cold and snowy Norilsk with its ascetic, harsh, gray-white landscape. And also with an endless polar night and yellow lanterns that fill the void with meaning. There is a special charm in this. Although the understanding of this harsh beauty came to me much later, after I left Norilsk for good. When I grew up and became independent in my choice, I found my city - this is Moscow. I adore Moscow for its energy, speed, dynamics, brightness, and sometimes for the gray sky because it reminds me of the harsh and deserted north. That is why in my works I choose certain colors that are colored with a meaning that I understand. I approach the choice of color intuitively. I try to convey my emotions and feelings to them. And that's why I love abstraction. It allows me to convey not only a visual image, but to reflect my emotions, which is also much important for me.
