ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this piece I have attempted to unlock my memories and perceptions of the period from 1965 through to 1975. I remember seeing the world in such a chaotic state. Change was everywhere with an ongoing cold war as a backdrop and a real war in Vietnam for daily headlines. The world was being modernised through fashion and design and a sense that things would never be the same again was in everyone's conversation it seemed. We tend to look back at this period with somewhat patronising view. A point of view that determines it was a far simpler life then. The truth is it could never have been more complex.
