ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Beauty of full-blown flowers is a challenge to technique for Vietnamese lacquer. Is Vietnamese lacquer able to show delicacy and transparency of petals? Is Vietnamese lacquer able to describe flower buds in every detail? Is splendour of flowers in the darkness suitable for painting by Vietnamese lacquer? I want viewers to figure out the answer on their own when they front artworks. Personally, I feel partly satisfied.
