ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The first layer is the plastic one. It creates a sort of matrix for the further process. It gives me the possibility to shape the board with latent patterns or a motif which will be played up later when the color intervenes . Please consider that: This work is created on medium density board (0,4 mm. or 0 5/32 in. thick). For this reason it is essential to put it into a frame to keep it flat when you hang it to a wall. It can simply be a wooden framework or a more elaborate frame, according to one personal liking. Moreover I usually use a final coat of pure acrylic resin to brighten the colors and to protect them from UV.
