ABOUT THE ARTWORK
While eating in a restaurant in downtown SLC, UT, this scene was the view from my window. The tangle of vines contrasting with the solid post and reflective glass of the lantern appealed to me. She works from her home studio in Centennial, Colorado, painting from her travels both locally and abroad. She has taken workshops from many nationally- known artists and enjoys learning and experimenting with new techniques. Bronwen likes to pay special attention to unusual points of view and paints from her own photos. Light and shadow are a key element in all of her work. She looks for interesting subjects to incorporate the strong contrast of light and shadow.
