Above 2 is a very heartfelt painting, I put my heart and soul into this work, a particular sadness in my life moved me to create this; I wanted to transform my feelings into a magical optimistic artwork, I also have used elements of Lord of the rings which I love very much. This is a diptych work on cotton rag paper, recommend when framing to use museum glass. This work is sold unframed. I use staples to attach the paper to a board for painting, so the edges have staple holes, I recommend ‘floating’ the artwork with the staples holes showing. I like the staple holes as it adds a rugged, rustic, organic feel which is characteristic of paper, the centre line will have a slightly rugged raised edge along this centre line this was the reason I did the diptych on paper, the raised effect can be reduced by a framer using conservation quality adhesive strips. It could actually be stapled to a board if you like the staples showing as I do...so many choices for framing. Each panel measures width 22.1x height 30.1inches, together in total 44.2 x 30.1 inches
