One-of-a-kind black and white charcoal, early Americana. Artist of record L Steers Cobb Early Americana, Hudson River Artist. This is a rare portrait, painting of Abraham Lincoln, America’s 16th president. The Nations President during the civil war. Responsible for Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 which freed slaves and signed into law the 13th amendment. Painting was acquired during a private estate auction in upstate New York in 1998. Original frame and period nails with original wiring. Painting to be framed In museum glass and shadow box, preserving the original painting and frame.
