The Abstract Mindscape Series (From 20 June 2013 to the present) Yanto Alexander (born 20 June 1983), who owns a Private Art Collection of Antiquities, Pre-Columbian Art, Modern Fine Art and Antiques, and also running his Private Art Gallery in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, is otherwise known as an artist himself. His career as an artist started in 2007. Yanto Alexander lives and works in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Artist Statement: I always feel like the art's there and I just see it, so it's not really a lot of work. I pick the colours of what I feel and see in my normal day- and nightlife. They transport the viewer to new emotional heights and states of consciousness. Highly abstract in form, my paintings are very real impressions of my subconscious mind and of events and feelings which take place each day in the world around myself. Enrapturing energetic colours dancing with movements as if in tune with some hidden performance laden with vibrant forces of emotion which seem to radiate from the unseen depths of one’s being. At some times it feels that I am “possessed” when creating my art by feelings and energies I cannot fully grasp. Such powerful experiences are captured on canvas through vibrant colour schemes and around forty innovative painting techniques. The Abstract Mindscape Series are ‘multi-layered and three dimensional’. Created with an new technical process of fading paint layers of different colours over the canvas. In this way, after every process fading and new layers of paint, the view change over constantly. With layer after layer, my work gets his history and every time an new view. The composition forms on the canvas with every single action. And the moment when the work is finished, is mostly unknown and it happened in a fraction… Working with colours is new to me, based on previous work in only black and white. It feels good and gives me a new way of life as an artist. The Abstract Mindscape series gives me more expression of my deep and personal way of life. The title of my new series of paintings ‘The Abstract Mindscape Series’ represent my way of thinking, expressed in highly abstract form with using only paint in energetic colours.

Yanto Alexander (born 20 June 1983) is an Dutch Artist. His work is known for its abstract white wall reliefs. Playing with shadow, light and the rhythm of repetition form the basis of his work. His career as an artist started in 2007. Yanto Alexander lives and works in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Yanto Alexander's work creates a unique kind of illusory space, both abstract and fixed in recognizable form, yet somehow almost tangible. Repeated shapes and colours generate a sense of infinitely multiplying space. From 'The White Relief Series' to 'The Abstract Mindscape Series', his signature is always there... "Artist Statement - The White Relief Series" In his work, rhythm, space and light, brought together into one unit for which the word painting insufficient cover. Self he speaks rather of objects or wall reliefs. "Suggesting of space and movement, by sunlight" When I work as a painter at my paintings, I want no painting. I want to open up space. With my work I try to let the viewer philosophize about the phenomenon of space and light. My art suggests a new reality of space. I let the thought to the viewer. In this way I let people think what space actually can do. The important thing is a completely black or white surface to create completely colorless, neutral, that in no way has anything to do with a painterly phenomenon, or any element whatsoever. I have the need for art that is valid for himself, with the idea that we assume have no role. My works have themselves and therefore the space in which it resides. The Baroque painters did in portraying a jump space: they depict the space with a splendor that has never been surpassed and they contribute to the visual sense of time. The figures seem to leave the plane and in space the depicted motions to continue. I do not have the technical resources necessary for their work in motion. I only suggest this movement and do it with conventional means. Yanto Alexander Quote “Abstract Mindscape Series” Yanto Alexander achieves a harmonious balance of accident and intention in these works or what the artist called “highly planned kind of spontaneity”. “Creating Contemporary Art Projects” YANTO ALEXANDER ARTIST STUDIO Vermeerstraat 96 3817 DH Amersfoort The Netherlands Tel: + 31 (0) 6 47972475 E-mail: Website: SOCIAL MEDIA Facebook: OPENING TIMES By appointment only.
