ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is another painting of mine done in homage to artists of the past. This one is based on Maurice de Vlaminck's 'The Circus' a painting completed in 1906. Like my painting of Pissarro's 'Landscape at Chaponval' this is a "wild" burst of colors and Impressionist brushstrokes. And while academically this was painted "post" Impressionism it still retains that former school's values and philosophies. I hope you like it. Thank you.
