DΕSCRIPTION: After Rhythmic Swing is about a joyful game of rhythm and movement. Water, sky and generally nature are always the artist's greatest inspiration and a happy place to be. Uplifting and moving, After Rhythmic Swing is connected to another artwork by the same artist, Rhythmic Swing, where aesthetic values are quite similar. Many thin layers of blue, white, turquoise colors, end up to a thin layer of resin, which acts as varnish. The smooth, pale texture, with playful splashes and transparences are the highlights of the painting, as well as the frisky red ribbons, that supports the composition. MATERIALS: It is painted with high quality acrylic paint on hand stretched high quality canvas. A thin layer of resin protects the artwork against UV light and dust. SIGNATURE: It is signed on the back and accompanied with a certificate of authenticity. READY TO HANG: It is unframed. It is painted on the edges. It is wired. ---------------------------------- ABOUT MY ART: "Nature, colors and materials inspire me the most. I follow the potentials of the materials, in a free, gestural process, which reminds of free associations in psychotherapy and meditation. I see one point and the whole, almost at the same time, again and again. I release and I hold, add and erase, again and again. I let my instinct and emotion flow, observing carefully how the elements of art communicate with each other; I form a composition that satisfies my aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual pursuit. What seems coincidence at the beginning is a product of systematic observation of every little detail and stroke study. I usually use acrylic combined with pigments. I work layer after layer, creating transparencies, revealing the best textures and design elements; I bring into being a unique and mysterious atmosphere, in a dynamic and passionate manner, full of energy, close to abstract expressionism".

Maria Bacha is a Greek artist currently living in London and studying at the Royal College of Art for a Master of Fine Art (MFA Arts and Humanities). "Nature, light and color are my greatest inspirations. I always want to search more about the sea of my subconscious and to find better connections with the collective unconscious. During my working process I feel like a medium. I transmit my experiences, my sense of independence and my emotions and then I go back to my creation and observe. This is a liberating experience that helps me become more aware of my existence in this life. I feel that my development as an artist is moving along with my emotional and spiritual growth. I hope viewers of my work find their own references. I am always happy to touch people' s sensitivity and especially young people's. I believe that awareness about our existence has the power to lead us to positive changes. I really hope my art provokes more awareness, love and respect into this world”. Maria earned her BA in Studio Arts from the University of La Verne, California, she studied next to the Greek painter Michalis Veloudios, attended courses at RISD and MOMA and was the Head Art Teacher for ten years at the Hadzivei Elementary School. She illustrated books for the Greek public school and she created many set designs for children's theatrical plays. She is also a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts. Maria now focuses exclusively on her art. Works by Maria Bacha are in private collections worldwide. Also, the Greek Ministry of Culture purchased her artwork in 2020 and to date, her works have been shown at solo, group exhibitions and prestigious art fairs in Greece, London and Los Angeles.
