I attempted to personify nature's terrifying response to human-caused climate change through an unforgettable lightning storm I experienced on the beach. As the turbulent front rolled in, I wandered off, finding peace in the current and nature's power (but not so much in her voltage). I felt calm but my father's voice sounded angry and terrified as he searched for me, calling my name from a car.
