About The Artwork

All of my pictures are created intuitively, which means I don't have a concrete idea that I use as a guide, nor a template or anything similar. I start a picture and decide after every further step how to go on . However, I have to say that my pictures often remind me of impressions of nature and faded or decomposed surfaces of old buildings, streets, etc. I allways use different tools to apply the colours. So brush, spatula, fingers etc. Most of the pictures were created in different layers. I love colorful pictures, but I also like very reduced paintings. I paint on a cardboard specifically designed for acrylic painting. It is acid-free, colorfast and very resistant to light and aging. The pictures look very nice with a narrow white or gray frame. Without glazing.

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

After working as a fashion and portrait photographer for more than 20 years, I started experimenting with colors and painting abstract acrylic paintings. While I was still taking photography, I realized various creative photo projects on the topic of using and working with different materials and digital changes. I have always had a great interest in pictures and enjoyed visiting museums and exhibitions as a child. In particular, contact with the Hamburg and Berlin art scenes has shaped my creative nature. I love trying out new techniques and constantly changing things in the picture. I usually leave a picture lying around for days and work on several pictures in parallel until I actually decide that it is finished. I often get my inspiration from long walks in nature. I particularly find water, clouds and the surfaces of old buildings very attractive. I work intuitively and decide the next step after each brush stroke, so I never know where the journey will lead. That's exactly what I find so exciting about this type of painting. I love playing with colors and shapes. I paint in color because color means life to me. Every color has a different meaning and so does every color constellation. Colors give strength and energy. I hope to express this with my pictures.
