This painting was inspired by the scene in The Hunger Games book/movie where Katniss and Peeta are sitting on the beach in the Quarter Quell. They are cracking open oysters and enjoying some sea food before everything comes crashing down. Peeta finds a pearl and hands it to Katniss. This scene really resonated with me as I felt Katniss finally had that first grasp of love in her soul as Peeta, yet again, gave to her all he had without reservation and she recognized it as such. You will notice the mountains and jungle-land and central lake with the corresponding elliptical arena for the games. I also added a creamy orange sunset, just as Peeta would have liked it. There is also a surrounding edge along the entirety of the painting that it a digital pattern, symbolizing the digital makeup of the arena and what Katniss ultimately sees the flaw in. In his hand you will find a small piece of genuine 24k gold that I attached to the painting as well standing in the place of a pearl.

Sara is an artist, a writer, poet, and Nutritionist. She has been painting only for a few short years but has a collection of over 200+ pieces. You would never be able to tell, but the most fascinating thing about her art, is that she is colorblind! Like most artists, I am inspired by everything around me and I am constantly seeking out new things and new ways to be inspired. Before I knew it, I was creating my own artworks and art pieces. I was astonished! Never before had I thought of myself as the "creative" or "artsy" type. But there before my eyes, was nothing short of beautiful! It had color and vibrancy and life! And I haven't put down the brush since! The farther I travel down this road the farther I grow into my own beautiful artwork and the more I transform into the person I am meant to be. I hope my art can bring beauty and shed a light of hope and new life into your life! God bless my friends, I wish you the best! ~Sara
