My creation is to make this American Flag painting have a worn out look. This is to show that even though we are a country of freedom we still had to go through a lot to be where we are today.

A Lost Era, (Silk screen and mixed medias) This new series, "happy days", is based on the era of the 1940's - 70's. I have always been intrigue by this time period where products were built to last. Materials of steel, wood and wires. Buy once, so they would last a life time! Advertising was a big part of this era, people believed what they saw in magazines. If it's published it has to be good. Smoking was a huge social lifestyle, accepted everywhere. Actually, in some ads doctors promoted smoking; "the cure for the common cold", "loose weight", "˜digestion problems" smoke Camels. Meat, the more red meat you would eat, "the healthier you will be". Eat large portions, enjoy life! In today's society products are compact and energy efficient. Not built to last but always improving. Smoking; it's as if it doesn't exist. Red meat, it's said not to be healthy. Smaller portions and eating a balance diet, no carbs and no gluten. People of the forgotten era seemed to be jolly and have no fears. That's why my focus on this series is about , "happy days". All my art from this series, "A Lost Era" is digitally montages then transferred to silk screens and printed on canvas. Some of the under coating is from other abstract paintings that I created. By adding mixed medias brings life to the painting. Many of my paintings have been purchased by large corporations. Interior designers have purchased my art for their clients in major cities such as NY, Miami and LA. Galleries in the Northeast and Midwest showcase my art. Private collectors have purchased my art United States and abroad.
