About The Artwork
Original and unique Abstract painting in acrylic on archival quality smooth primed gesso board and framed in a high quality hardwood satin gunmetal grey finished frame (unglazed). A thick swathe of strong bright colours zig-zag across the board from left to right over a soft blurred background in primary red, yellow and blue. This combination brings the eyes to focus on the foreground, and helps to create the illusion of depth. Different areas of poured colours were applied to build up this rich image with oranges, reds, hues of blue, turquoise, purples, teal, indigo and black and white. Contained within a white border. Very decorative and eye catching. Crafted using the finest materials, colours and mediums.Would look great in any room setting. Finished with an isolation layer and then two coats of anti UV high gloss varnish. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Signed bottom right.

I have been working as a freelance ceramics and glass restorer since being professionally trained in the early 1990's. As such, i have carried out projects for The British Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art NYC, Glasgow Museums, The Conservation Centre, Salisbury and The National Palace Museum, Taiwan. I decided to re utilise my skills accumulated over several decades and apply them to canvas. My influences are many and varied from Pop Art to Surrealism, Abstract, Expressionism to Impressionism. I adore exploring and trying out new things with acrylic medium and find the process theraputic and very satisfying, I hope this is reflected in my work...
