I had the idea to make a work based on the words of Shevchenko: "And on renewed earth There will be no enemy, no opponent, And there will be a son, and there will be a mother, And there will be people on earth." I wanted to take part in the contest, but changed my mind. Then she reconsidered the idea and was going to do something less folk and more modern with this composition. But in the process, my hands themselves imitated embroidery ornaments, I gave in, I did not restrain myself. And then she realized. I draw a mother with a child. I'm 28, I don't have children, I don't know when they will be or if they will be at all. I once thought that I would remain childfree. Over time, I thought about it a little, maybe hormones are taking their toll. But I still have those first photos from the liberated north in front of my eyes. I looked at them almost to the pixel. That is why I am ready to argue about the feasibility of content sensets. A person must choose for himself whether he is ready to see that cruelty. But it seemed to me then that I was ready. And how can I lead a new life during the war? How can I let a new person into this terrible world? Stories of the war pop up in my head from time to time, supplemented by new ones... I know that women are now pregnant, giving birth, becoming happy mothers. My mother gave me life in the bad nineties, alone, without a husband, and she was also happy. But can I do that? That's what this picture is about for me. I thought about this when I drew her.
