About The Artwork
Painting by Spanish painter Joaquim Urgeell (1936-2013) who was once called "the last Spanish post-impressionist". He developed a unique painting style with influences ranging from Toulouse-Lautrec and Gauguin, to Monet, Van Gogh and even El Greco (Doménikos Theotokópoulos). He is known for his characteristic interpretation of Norhtern Spain's nature as well as his personal view on human relationships in settings such as bars, taverns and saloons in the 20th century.
