1. There was an artist who dreamed of becoming an artist when he was young. Kim Chang-yeol, a person who draws waterdrops, used to feel ecstatic when looking at his brilliant waterdrops. I wanted to be a great painter who resonated with people thinking when I could make such a work. And as time passed, when I began to take a step toward becoming a writer in my mid-20s, I was able to face artist Kim Chang-yeol in an unintended place like fate. He showed a poor portfolio to him, who was an idol, and the price, who was over 80 years old and couldn't hear well, looked at the painting in a very serious manner. And he said a lot of things, and among them, the phrase 'I like it so much, work hard' is still intensely contained in my heart. 14 years later, even now. As time passed, I participated in the 'Hommage' exhibition, which contains respect for Kim Chang-yeol. For this exhibition, which was joined by the late Kim Chang-yeol, a man who drew water droplets and an icon, I thought harder than ever, challenged new attempts, and took a serious stance. I hope my sincerity will be conveyed through these paintings, which contain both respect and memory for the teacher. No. 2 artist Kim Chang-yeol repeated the act of painting water droplets to erase the trauma of childhood. For him, water was more of a symbol to overcome the gloom of the past. And he overcame the tragedy he had experienced so far and comforted the soul of the dead through water droplets. Through this exhibition of 'Kim Chang-yeol Homage', I incorporated water droplets into my painting. For me, the act of painting is to give happiness and comfort to everything alive. My droplets contain recovery, healing, and vitality to the public, and the flowers blooming from the water and the water droplets from the moon jar purify the mind and express the continuity to continue a new life.

Through my paintings, I want to throw questions about a yearning for innocence of childhood, a message of purity and happiness. People don`t care what the rabbit wants for his ideal nor his philosophy while they're watching flowers blooming from rabbit's ears. I just hope they'll have a little smile on their faces and a little warmer heart. And I hope, their heart will be full of happiness even just for a while.
