Aperture in Turquoise XXIX Painting

I combine spontaneous but geometric brushstrokes with saturated and refined colors. The simplicity of my brushstroke captures the energy of a moment in time and space. The bright colors can be playful and the forms feel organic. I use the white of the background as an equal element to the painting to invite for more and to suggest infinite possibilities behind the colors. My Aperture paintings can be displayed in rows or grids to tell a color story. The gestural single mark brings an organic quality to a room.
