About The Artwork
Aphrodite, as we all know, is the Goddess of Love and she's supposed to be the most beautiful entity in the universe. I wanted to capture my version of her physical form as a silhouette and what I love about this piece is that any woman can see themselves in this imagery because this form is far from the societal standards of "perfect." She's got breasts that aren't the same size, large areolas, a bit of a belly as well. In this painting, every woman has the capacity to embody her.
