Fata Morgana is a complicated form of mirage, which appears quite rarely and thus is sometimes referred to as miracle of sorts. Of course, Fata Morgana doesn't show up all of sudden in kitchens and studios, and certainly it doesn't look much like these four images of apples, created by using two existing apples as a reference. This composition, thought, might make you think of old legends, and wonder, whether this mirage is a kind sign or no: will tasting this apple simply "make the doctor go away" for a short while, or will it irreversibly open your eyes, or maybe it's meant for something else... for example, to remember that there's no absolute dark, nor complete light, that there are drops of evil in kindness, and vice versa, there are sparks of happiness amid despair, as well as patches of agony on the field of euphoria. That everything is not what it seems like (sounds like, reads like, feels like) at first glance. Which apple is actually the original, what alterations does each iteration bring - how many apples are there truly? Does anyone really know for sure? Then, it's purely your own choise to make. Acrylic on cardboard panel. The corners of the cardboard are slightly unsightly, chipped (not noticeable and doesn't affect the painting itself)

Inta Gloda is a painter from Riga, Latvia, with over 10 years experience in the field, dedicated to exploring the intricate language of visual art, integrating various aspects of her studies and creative journey in the illustrative poster-like depictions of nature, animals, and seemingly familiar places. The artist is expressing fascination with the mystical experiences in preliterate societies, ancient mythologies, the paradoxical and exciting aspects of human psyche, and encouraging free interpretation, which provides a new layer to the stories told by the paintings and develops the interplay of light and reflections with viewer's own unique meaning. She works mainly with oil and acrylic paint, sometimes watercolor, but not exclusively, also integrating unconventional materials, techniques and experimenting with mediums. Vast part of Inta Gloda's paintings feature nature and its' different sides, shapes, contrasts, displaying bright and, at times, surreal shapes and colors, on the edge of dream and reality.
