Aquacade (triptych) Painting

I’m inspired by a profound love for water, I hope that my painting possess the transformative power to infuse spaces with a sense of both tranquillity and vitality. I aim to capture the essence of water's ephemeral nature and its ability to manifest in various forms, whether it be the ethereal shape-shifting clouds or the flowing currents of a river. The representation of water through paint and process serves as a persistent theme in my art. I am never happier than when I am in my studio exploring the canvas and seeing where my art takes me. My work is deeply influenced by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, a philosophy that embraces the beauty of imperfection and transience. My interpretation of Wabi-Sabi permeates my practice, allowing me to explore and experiment with different materials and processes. Embracing the positive outcomes of serendipity, I always approach my work with a sense of playfulness and openness, inviting unexpected elements to shape the final outcomes.
