The work is about the vastness of the Arctic and the magical colours. These works are mostly imagined. By adding a human element it both creates a sense of scale and offers a narrative to the unique bond between mother and child and the unknown landscape they face which is both beautiful and scary.

Francisco Centofanti has been a professional Artist for over fifteen years since graduating from the Florence Academy of Art. He creates exciting and iconic works of art with an unprecedented fusion of contemporary inspiration and traditional techniques. "Francisco Centofanti is a fabulous artist. I particularly love his landscape paintings - he captures light and colours brilliantly." Roger Daltrey CBE His work has been exhibited extensively and is collected by clients in New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Tokyo, Paris, Stockholm, Florence and London. Amongst his many international collectors are art dealer Martin Summers, financier Mark Lapidus, writer Nigel Hinton, Don Foster MP and lead singer from The Who Roger Daltrey CBE. "My life as an Artist began when I was 14 on a trip to the St Victoire Mountain near Aix-en Provence where I first saw paintings by Paul Cezanne. I loved the colours and his interpretation of the subject matter creating something based on nature but also new and original. When I left school I did a foundation course at Chelsea and was very lucky to be given the opportunity of taking private drawing lessons with Norman Blamey RA, who taught me the beginnings of observational drawing. After Norman Blamey’s enriching lessons, ‘The Florence Academy of Art’ is where I learnt most of what I now know about observational painting and drawing. From the time I left Florence until now I have been drawing and painting practically non-stop, constantly searching and exploring different mediums and subjects, trying to fuse the old and the new to come up with a visual language that will speak to people in modern times and will bring joy, wonder and a sense of the great mystery."
