About The Artwork
I came up with this painting of a burning heart showing warmth and depicting an enthusiasm and a passion. As I already have a painting similar to this in my ‘Allegoric’ series called ‘Passion’, I went with ‘Ardour’ as a title. I think it describes this symbolic painting very well. The mediums I chose for ‘Ardour’ are all water based, mainly acrylic paint which I love for all it versatility and I also used very little gesso. As you may see from the image, the background is iridescent to add to the flaming effect of the engulfed heart. Along the sides, as with other paintings of mine, I have added two pinstripes right around which I think suit the thick canvas, augmenting to the appeal of the work. With this decorative finish, a frame would not be necessary. Thank you for your interest. Zeal.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends.
