ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A few years ago I began to feel fascinated by the movements of ballet andwith the poses of the dancers, since I could relate them to birds in flight. In a period of personal transformation, I decided to give them wings so that they could rise and live that process of expansion that as a woman I have experienced through painting. This painting represents the freedom of searching for pleassure, our own voice and happiness in life.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia (1983). Since childhood, she shows interest in the arts and as a teenager she starts to work on representational sculpture and painting. My paintings are created to convey the essence of nature. I rely on our desires for beauty and balance which is what I establish through the use of color, texture and harmony in each of my paintings. I begin my work by applying color layers fluently, letting each image emerge and then focus on details which bring it to live. I think of my work as a pause from our busy lives, engaging the viewer by creating an inner sense of order which can shift its emotional state.
