ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Description: To start with, an accurate depiction of a tree backlit in the twilight. But something was missing. A bold step was needed to lift this out of the ordinary. Shavings of watercolour crayons scraped onto the wet surface of the painting produced a violently coloured texture, and turned a worthy painting into something special. Can't do many more of these, alas. They've stopped making the watercolour crayons.
