ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is inspired by the North York Moors, UK. The transformation of colours and textures of heather moorland over the year are fascinating. Prone to accidental fires in dry conditions, the heather often burns transforming the purple flowers into nothing more than black ash. This contrast of natural beauty and the reverse are a constant inspiration in my work
