"Badass girl" Painting

Letting go of the self that I know and embracing the tickles of the soul is an awesome journey. I would crumble if I had to knowingly reach a final destination. In essence it is all about energy and fuel; releasing and creating this buzz ... vibrations, surges and impulses that continuously spark the aliveness. About me Born in Germany; raised, schooled, lived and worked in South Africa until 2001; currently living and working in and around Vienna Education/teachings/cognitions Everyone and everything is my teacher and my personal learning continuous; curiosity and passion in life, nature, people and multi-cultural environments, and dabbling in whatever grabs my interest of which any form of personal expression is on top on my list (music, dance, painting, etc). I received formal training in architecture and hold a BSc in Design and Innovation Process/insight My art is guided by my internal visions, my emotions, instincts and perceptions at the time. Awareness of any particular subject seldom enters my creative process and consciousness is the given moment without pressing thoughts. This is a natural and spontaneous occurrence that requires no particular planning (except the availability of material). This allows my present state to guide my hands, choose the medium(s) and colours, the subject (if one emerges) and the overall composition. The results are therefore arbitrary and do not follow any formula or specific style. Naming each piece undergoes a similar process and is mostly intuitive, based on mood and what I see in the work as it unfolds or once it is completed. Afterthought However, it is up to the viewer; in what we bring along while looking; what we are feeling at that given moment; our experiences from the past, ... all this influences our awareness and what we see or accept as part of our current reality.
