I like Bishop’s Balls the best, it’s so cheeky! It’s a South African perennial and I would love to have it growing in my garden. What a conversation piece! My inherited love of gardening and nature has “blossomed” into painting florals in their many depictions. The juxtaposition of vibrant hues and cool shades in nature form artistic images in my mind. I translate these into fanciful still lifes or garden scenes bursting with vibrancy. Sometimes I draw inspiration from Gauguin and Matisse, with their rich decorative arrangements of colour and line.
