About The Artwork

This piece took me 4 weeks to make and is an advance on my Barcode series. Here tiny dots of paint are applied to create the effect of lines and the radio wave shape. There are NO lines painted and no background colours. The whole painting is made up of up to 30,000 dots of paint spread across 151 shades of colour.

With particular emphasis on art and fashion, Barry has worked within the world of design for more than 20 years. In 2017, his “Chaos over Moscow” canvas was exhibited digitally at the Saatchi Gallery (London) and he has shown at various art fairs since. His paintings are available for sale through Saatchi Art, online at saatchiart.com In 2021 he sold his first work at auction in New York. His latest series features atmospheric forest silhouettes, approaching twilight. “As the sun drains all colour from the trees, a myriad of shadesand tones remain just briefly in the sky.” He is a Freeman of the City of London and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was made MBE in 2011 by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace and was awarded Honorary Doctorate of Design by Southampton Solent University in 2014.
