In Renaissance, the artist pays tribute to the masters of the Italian Renaissance period by presenting reinterpretations of their works, trying to bring to current times the renewal of consciousness that took place during that period, alluding to another renaissance that the world will have to go through after the current crisis. caused by the pandemic. In Neto's opinion, there is a need for an intense revaluation of the world and models of life and society, in addition to questioning and reviewing the status quo and a profound change in consciousness. An inner search for the most sublime expression of what the human being is capable of performing as co-creator of this world and as a species is necessary. And, with the Renaissance as the subject of his first series of paintings, the artist also makes reference to his own rebirth for art after many years of denying himself that path. Upon rediscovering himself as an artist, Neto felt that his need to express himself visually was of vital importance to him, and as he turned his gaze back to art, he realized that he had long been in a kind of "Dark Ages" self-imposed through his choices, which distanced him from art. It was then that he decided to pursue his own rebirth to a less stifling, fuller, and lighter life.
