I did this after randomly thinking about that shoe being thrown at George bush in iraq in 08’. This doesn’t have to be a heavy image either. Part of me just wanted to paint a bunch of happy faces and one getting smacked with a can of beans. No need to overthink it BUT...to me...the can of beans represents our individual hopes, dreams and aspirations. Could be our individual rituals and comforts. Could be the people and ideals we put on a pedestal, and try and reflect best we can Beans are the Everyman food. You dig in any garbage, outside any persons house and you might find a can of beans The faces are all shades of the same color. As we are all similar but different blah blah We all have our own can of beans, and if we take the time to get to know ourselves then hopefully that can of beans is going to be the variety we enjoy most ...But when you try and throw your can of beans at someone else. When you jam it down their throat even though they were enjoying their own beans. When you say THIS is the variety of beans that we need to all be eating because THIS is what works for me!...Then that person may try to conform to your ideals, because there scared and don’t want to make ripples. But it may hurt them. Might change who they are. Maybe in the process of changing and conforming they became something completely different. They might forget there roots and become lost. They may now be drawing in more energy then before when all they were trying to do not to create any waves. They might not know what to do with this new train of thought or how to cope with this internal conflict and lash out at their unknown self. So let’s all ride this wave together, enjoy our own beans, and uuuhhhhh idk, stop trying to own slaves and shit. . .

Poor kid from Paterson NJ/ Catskills upstate NY. Living and working out of Brooklyn since 05’. No formal art training..you could guess that from looking at my art though. Worked construction since I was a little kid working with my dad building pools. Blew my knees out pretty bad in the start of 2019. Can’t do to much more renovations, so I decided to just paint full time because fuck it. I’m not going to live for ever and the only thing I like doing is art. Check out my Instagram for more content
