ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Beautiful to Love the Ordinary” We all have ordinary bits about us, some of them we don’t even think about often, but these little bits are the things that make us who we are. Leaves for me are a symbol of the ordinary that we sometimes ignore, but it is just beautfiul to love. I will leave you with this poem, the very thing that inspired this piece: “Anyone can love a rose, but it takes a great deal to love a leaf. It’s ordinary to love the beautiful, but it’s beautiful to love the ordinary. “ I hope that those that see this piece are reminded of how beautiful the small moments are in life, such as some leaves fluttering down from the tree canopy, or sitting in a meadow amongst the soft breeze and the flowers.
