Begin Again Painting

For Julie Spencer, painting is a “second act.” She graduated from Kalamazoo College with a BA in economics and the University of Michigan with an MBA in marketing, and enjoyed a two-decade career in media and advertising in the NYC area. Her various roles in business centered around collaboration with talented writers and art directors, inspiring her to pursue her own creative talents. She spent evenings and weekends in workshops, study, and formal classes at the Center for Visual Arts in Summit, NJ; the DuCret School of Art, in Plainfield, NJ; and  the Lakeside Art Studio in Parsippany Lake, NJ. Julie has studied under the Impressionist Pierre Bittar and contemporary painter Robert Burridge. Julie resides in Chatham, NJ, with her partner Bruce and their dog Daphne.
