I realized that if the creative process gives you the opportunity to fly, the only question is, “how high am I ready to go?” I decided to figure out how high I could go on my own. This is how I faced my vulnerability. The truth is, everyone is vulnerable no matter how much we try to hide it. I learned that when I feel super scared and very vulnerable, it means I’m on the “right path." This is what my painting is conveying: my vulnerability and my courage to proudly represent it on canvas. The more I paint, the more fluid my thoughts become and that makes me more determined to share what is developing within me.Thinking about flying, it’s reasonable to assume that fall is inevitable. Thinking about falling, I realize there are so many ways to fall. Each type of fall brings with it the rush of adrenaline and fear that can make you give up, lose control, escape from something potentially terrifying. Here I am, ready to fall again and gain.

Moldova
A Chisinau, Moldova based artist by the name of Gabriela Fussa has been honing her skills in painting for the past several years. Originally an interior designer, Gabriela has blended her passion for art with her four years of experience in studying design and thus bringing about a perfect marriage of these two passions. Gabriela’s venture into mixed media painting allowed her to include yet another element of this union and this extended the range of her skills even further. Her use of colors and mediums in paintings have allowed her to challenge the boundaries of people’s perception of art. In her opinion the best starting point when it comes to the appreciation of modern art is that it is not to decide whether it is good or not, but to understand how it evolved from the classical style of Da Vinci to the pickled sharks and unmade beds of today.
