Idea: The night has fallen on the city. I am inside my place. I know everything myself. They told me everything. Mental opioids as a way of meditation. I brew. One... Two... Three.. F... Description: Like all the works of the “Afternoon Dreams” series, this one just came into my mind without much thinking. But the picture has its topic. Here I reflect on things that influence one’s sense of happiness. Many people think that happiness depends on external conditions. They say: “Change this or that thing, and all is going to be great”. But it doesn’t work like that. They get what they had been waiting for, but nothing changes. I believe happiness is closely related to self-harmony, the harmony of your inner world. Even put in the worst situation possible, a person can be happy if they found peace in their heart. --- Original art by Sergey Es from his Afternoon Dreams Varnished, comes ready to hang. Gallery quality Premium, environmentally friendly, cotton canvas wrapped around the frame, painted around the edges to compliment the artwork & doesn’t need framing. This painting is unique. Artwork will be sent to you carefully packed in protective packaging.

I’m an outsider artist, working in Art Brut style in my own way, which I call psychoart. In my works I explore reality, thoughts and ideas, passing them through the prism of my vision, partly formed by the disease - schizophrenia. The main subject I work with is the transformation of images, concepts, ideas, forms and meanings in the consciousness and unconscious of an individual whose thinking is qualitatively and fundamentally different from the generally accepted standards and norms. I explore the influence of my mental characteristics on understanding processes such as art, creativity, and the search for meaning. The process of creation in my work differs from the classical one in that it is controlled by the periphery of the unconscious or by something or someone, but not by me. I do not work on artwork in the ordinary sense, as other artists do, I do not select colors, I do not build a composition. I ask the Universe a question and get an answer in the form of an image, which I then transfer to the canvas. Often the view comes in a dream or half-sleep. I do fine art with children suffering from mental disorders and diseases. In our society, mental illness is something shameful, although it is as tragic as cancer, for which the patient is not guilty. I try to change the attitude of the established majority opinion to this issue.
