I went in to this painting thinking about friends and the different level of friendship from buddies to "facebook friends" to party friends to those you talk to every day. The blue and white made me think of Facebook and Linkedin and my recent show and who came to it and who didn't. The idea that starts out isn't always the idea that comes out on paper or canvas or video. I am a Multi-Media Artist that comes up with an idea and sometimes it shifts dramatically or a little bit during the process. This became what it is all by itself. I didn't do any of it. It just started appearing. Like a muse. Ya see not all Blue Bloods are bad. In this case I feel really good about the process. I hope the collector can get something out of it. He turned out to be quite a character. One that reminds me of Theodore Roosevelt. So... Not all Blue Bloods are bad. Some are really bad. The edges are painted blue, it is ready to hang and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Nicholas Conlon
