A quiet and tranquil monochrome abstract landscape, lots of layers of blue, light blue, little white and ultramarine. You can see a landscape, you can see hills or waves... I have been interested in the structures that emerge when painting with lots of liquids, the beauty of small traces found in nature everywhere when you look closely. It is part of a small series called "Illusion" and I work the same technique with different colors. I think that this painting likes a frame, so I sell it framed in a white wooden floating frame. Of course you can have it unframed. 40x40 cm on stretched canvas. Semi-matte varnished. Wooden frame and ready to hang with hook at the back. Signed on the back. Certificate of Authenticity. Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
