"Blue Leaf" Painting

Although I've spent the last several years living and working between the US and abroad, there remains a constant thread throughout my work. That thread is the deep sense of serenity I find when immersed in nature. Surrounded by the natural world, my attention is drawn to its quiet power and unwavering determination to exist. Despite its fragility, the environment reveals a profound resilience, a quiet defiance in the face of constant threat. This enduring strength mirrors the human spirit which also strives to persevere, heal, and find peace amid adversity. When I approach a blank canvas or piece of paper, I do so without a preconceived plan. I begin by applying materials in a spontaneous and haphazard manner. From there a dialogue emerges, and the process becomes one of discovery and problem solving, guided by intuition rather than strict intention. My work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia, including England, France,Turkey, Switzerland, Sweden, Tunisia, Italy, and Japan. I continue to paint regardless of my location as I maintain active studios in both North Africa and the United States.
