The ‘Life' collection celebrates life, each piece named after how the piece makes me feel and what I see in the piece. The cell-like jellyfish form was created after hours of experimentation and testing. Each piece is unique with the level of texture and detail varying, due to the choice of mediums and the unpredictability of how resin behaves. Turquoise, blue and red was used To represent sea and blood. 2018 introduces a rich and passionate purple. Wood panels are used, resulting in a heavier piece than canvas, due it’s sturdiness and durability. Canvases can tear over time. The wood panel is primed and then painted with acrylic before colour is mixed in to the resin which is then manipulated to create the life forms seen. This artwork has been done on a wood cradled panel. It is important cradled wood panels are used for resin as resin can expand and contract which could cause canvases to warp and tear over time, making the artwork extremely durable. This piece is simply named after the stunning blue used. The wood panel is initially primed and painted with acrylic before the pigments are mixed in to colour the resin which is then manipulated to create the life forms seen creating some texture in the finish. The resin is left to drape over the sides of the wood panel to complete the piece so that it can be hung without requiring a frame. Equally the piece would look stunning wrapped in a high gloss white floating box frame. The artwork is signed on the side. The work has a high gloss finish and needs to be seen in the flesh to be truly appreciated.

Born in London, Skevi is a self-taught artist working primarily with resin, producing unique and colourful contemporary creations. Skevi finds inspiration from nature and her love for the ocean and has a general love for colour. By mixing her mediums into the resin and understanding how different mediums behave in the resin, she is able to create her unique works of art, each piece alive with movement and depth, always a talking piece. After 13 years in Singapore and seeing many blank walls, Skevi felt inspired to produce colourful pieces. “There are so many white walls and empty spaces All too often today people decorate their rooms with a single colour. Every room needs a little extra colour to break the monotone. Let the vibrancy transform your space and lift your spirit.” Skevi continues to support fundraising efforts and charities. In the past her work has raised money for a variety of charities such as NHS Charities Together, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, the DEC Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine and whilst resident in Singapore, Kick Sarcoma, Kampuchea Balopp, a non-profit organisation in Cambodia and the Nicholson Memorial Fund via the ATLAS Foundation. Skevi relocated to the UK in the summer of 2017. She has successfully exhibited several times in Singapore and the UK. Her artwork decorates homes, offices and hotels in the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, Latvia and the UK. Skevi is gallery represented and works with interior designers and art consultants to create bespoke pieces of art for their clients.
