Blue Moon Painting

Though originally born & raised in New York, Charlene found herself drawn to the Southwest and now resides in San Diego, California. Inspired by desert landscapes and open spaces, her work aims to address the complex relationship between the individual and the natural world. She primarily works in water media (Watercolor/Acrylic) but isn't afraid to mix it up once in awhile. Most recently, she is exploring a series of work depicting a lone female traveler in the desert. This figure is one with her surroundings, and reflects on the past, present & future of this landscape with a crow companion. While not creating art, she hangs out with her two parrots and explores SoCal in her 1997 Corolla.
