Blyde River Canyon Painting

As as young man I went on a ten day hiking trip through the Blyde Canyon in the eastern Transvaal of South Africa. I was highly impressed by the canyon's splendor and nature! We saw Monkeys, Baboons, Hippopotamus, Leopards, Pythons other snakes and a host of other animals. But what struck me most was the three massive mountains within the mountains called the 'Three Bungalows-In my language, Afrikaans, Die Drie Rondawels! I then painted the scene from a photograph I took there. I just love working in Oil on canvas.
